CooperKatz & Company is a highly-regarded, results-driven marketing / public relations firm.

New York-based and independent since its founding in 1996, the firm offers full-service public relations, creative services, events production and digital / social media capabilities to a national client base across a broad range of industry sectors. These sectors include: business-to-business; consumer products and services; education and educational institutions; financial services; healthcare; not-for-profit organizations; professional services; technology; telecommunications; trade associations; transportation; and more.

Agency capabilities are organized under three practice areas that serve clients on an integrated or standalone basis:

  • Public Relations
  • Digital
  • Creative Services (including CooperKatz Productions)
CooperKatz supports a full range of public relations services – from research, to strategy, to creative ideation, to flawless execution – that lead to breakthrough results. Through its Digital Media practice, CooperKatz has expertise in helping clients develop and implement effective strategies to leverage digital and social channels, in order to engage with a range of constituencies. The CooperKatz Creative Services practice designs, develops and executes a wide range of visual and multimedia creative elements – including business presentations, collateral materials, videos and exhibits – and also specializes in the production of corporate meetings and events.

The CooperKatz team provides the best of both worlds, combining the professionalism, strategic thinking and experience of a large global agency with the nimbleness and hands‐on client focus of a small firm. The agency has won numerous industry awards – including being honored as “Best Agency of the Year” in its size category and “One of the Best Agencies to Work For” by The Holmes Report.

CooperKatz is a member of the Council of Public Relations Firms, supporting its mission to provide industry leadership and to advance the business of public relations. CooperKatz executives have served on the Board of Directors of the Council as well as its Agency Management Committee. The agency fully embraces the Council’s “Statement of Principles” regarding ethical practices in the public relations profession.

Anne Green brings more than 20 years of experience in the public relations field to her role as president and chief executive officer of CooperKatz & Company, Inc.  Across her career, she has developed strategic communications programs for a wide range of clients across multiple industry sectors including consumer goods, education, financial services, healthcare, industrial / manufacturing, professional services, technology, telecommunications and transportation.

  • “Our Company and I in particular worked with CooperKatz and their staff of PR executives for many years. Our industry is subject to largely compressed business cycles and periods of great sporadic media and public relations volatility, including late-breaking industry news and service provider implications. CooperKatz was consistently responsive and creative during times of immediate response need, as well as strategic in both their planning and forward thinking for upcoming events, opportunities and exposure management. We were fortunate to have them as a valued team partner and by their efforts and contribution we were clearly more visible and successful.”
Mark A. Steber, Chief Tax Officer, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service
  • “ANA – the Association of National Advertisers – has been a client of CooperKatz since its founding 17 years ago. To say the least, our start was unique – as CooperKatz had its original office inside the ANA. We grew close because CooperKatz brought a wonderful blend of creativity, strategic insight, deft writing and outstanding production capabilities. CooperKatz and ANA have grown together, provided mutual support, and made each other better.”
Bob Liodice, President and Chief Executive Officer, Association of National Advertisers (ANA)
  • “CooperKatz has been our valued communications partner for almost 10 years, and brings creativity and passion for our brand to their work. The team’s knowledge expands beyond pure public relations, and into broader marketing areas like digital and social. The team has consistently delivered results for our product launches and partnerships, and has supported our participation in industry events. CooperKatz is committed to help us grow our position as the leader in heart rate monitoring and fitness assessment technologies.”
Gina Pilnacek, Director of Marketing, Polar USA
  • “We are routinely amazed at the quality of service CooperKatz provides Coldwell Banker Real Estate.  Along with having a remarkable group on our account who are completely committed to the success of the Coldwell Banker brand, CooperKatz continues to meet its lofty KPI goals in raising awareness for the brand and driving traffic to our coldwellbanker.com platform.  Public relations is a major part of the brand’s overall marketing mix, and CooperKatz has played a major role in the creation and successful implementation of every major brand initiative.  The trust we have in CooperKatz is immense and we are thrilled to have them as a partner.”
David Siroty, Vice President, North American Communications, Coldwell Banker Real Estate

  • A Tribute to Andy Cooper
    by dsonnenburg@cooperkatz.com on March 24, 2017 at 8:36 pm

If you knew Andy Cooper, you know what a force he was in the public relations industry. Andy and I met in graduate school and then became colleagues at Burson Marsteller, where we each, in turn, led the Creative group and where Andy eventually became President of the New York Office. In 1996, given our long friendship and shared ideals, we decided to follow our entrepreneurial instincts and opened CooperKatz & Company. In 2013, after a 22-month battle, Andy passed away from brain cancer. […]

You’ve probably noticed that this blog post looks a little different than usual. For the next few months, all of our blog posts will live here on our CooperKatz News & Views page through Medium. This change is just the first of many because we are proudly redoing our website. As the Senior Graphic Designer here, I couldn’t be happier to make this announcement on behalf of CooperKatz. There have been a lot of changes to the web in the last 10 years and staying visually […]

  • Celebrating Continued Feminism on International Women’s Day
    by dsonnenburg@cooperkatz.com on March 8, 2017 at 2:47 pm

Photo credit: She Runs It International Women’s Day means many things to many people. For some, it may mean supporting women’s rights. For others, it may mean celebrating femininity. For the official organization behind the celebration day, it’s a “global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.” For me, it’s about appreciating who I am, the opportunities that I have and to be aware of where my gender still has to […]

  • Don’t “Ghost” Us: Agencies Deserve Better Treatment than a Bad Tinder Date
    by dsonnenburg@cooperkatz.com on February 22, 2017 at 4:46 pm

I get it. I really do. Choosing an agency is like a romance. Sometimes, it’s a whirlwind “love at first sight” that feels like a match made in heaven. Other times, it’s a slow courtship. Or even a broken engagement that leaves you afraid to love again. You may realize you’re just not ready to commit. That’s ok. Take all the time you need. Or move ahead with abandon, with the one you’ve chosen. But you know what? “Dump” the other agencies […]

  • Trustworthiness & Transparency
    by dsonnenburg@cooperkatz.com on February 13, 2017 at 9:38 pm

In 1979, shortly after I joined Burson-Marsteller, the company was bought by one of the leading ad agencies, Young & Rubicam. 1980 was a presidential election year and also the year we held our first joint annual meeting. At that gathering, Alex Kroll, Head of Y&R USA, made an observation, a prediction and a plea that I clearly have remembered over the years. He noted a growing trend in political advertising toward negative comments about the opposition vs. positive policy and […]
