{"id":2483587,"date":"2026-10-28T12:48:18","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T12:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prgn.com\/?p=2483587"},"modified":"2026-10-28T12:48:18","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T12:48:18","slug":"prgn-elects-bill-southard-president-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prgn.com\/es_es\/news\/prgn-elects-bill-southard-president-2027\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Relations Global Network Elects Bill Southard President to Lead in 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>New officers announced at PRGN October Conference in New York City as the PR industry faces rapid shifts<\/h1>\n<p>NEW YORK \/ BRUSSELS \/ LONDON \u2013 The <strong>Public Relations Global Network (PRGN)<\/strong>, one of the world\u2019s largest groups of independent public relations agencies, has elected its 2027 president and president-elect at the Network\u2019s biannual member meeting and conference in New York City, on October 21-23, 2026.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bill Southard<\/strong>, President and CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/es_es\/agency\/southard-communications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Southard Communications<\/strong><\/a> in New York, will serve as the Network\u2019s 35th president, beginning January 1, 2027. Southard succeeds <strong>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fran\u00e7ois<\/strong>, Managing Partner of <a href=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/es_es\/agency\/two-cents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Two cents<\/strong><\/a> in Belgium and the Netherlands, who served as PRGN\u2019s President from October 2025 to December 2026. Fran\u00e7ois will assume the duties of Immediate Past-President and chair of PRGN\u2019s Advisory Board in January 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The new leadership comes into office as the public relations industry continues to face rapid shifts in digital tools, artificial intelligence (AI), and people\u2019s trust in media and brands. PRGN\u2019s global leadership team will guide more than 900 professionals in over 60 locations as they help clients adapt to these changes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natalie Ghidotti<\/strong>, CEO de <a href=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/es_es\/agency\/ghidotti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ghidotti<\/strong><\/a>, PRGN\u2019s member agency in Little Rock, Arkansas, will serve as president-elect. <strong>Chuck Norman<\/strong>, President of <a href=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/es_es\/agency\/sa-communications\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>S&amp;A Communications<\/strong><\/a> in Raleigh, North Carolina has been appointed Regional Vice President of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>PRGN\u2019s North American group of agencies.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2482898\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2482898\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-2482898\" src=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Bill-Southard-150x150.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2482898\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bill Southard<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201c<em>It\u2019s an honor to step into the footsteps of my colleagues from all over the world who have served in the president\u2019s seat at PRGN. I will focus on continuing to implement PRGN\u2019s strategic plan that focuses on more visibility for the Network, new business opportunities for its member agencies and a strategic focus on new member recruitment in key regions,<\/em>\u201d Southard said. \u201c<em>As the Network will turn 35 years old in 2027, we will recognize this milestone with a campaign to increase visibility, the launch of our third annual Influence Insights survey and engage in internal programs that further strengthen the PRGN culture that has thrived for more than three decades among its members.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2482900\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2482900\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-2482900\" src=\"https:\/\/prgn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Frederic-Francois-150x150.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2482900\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Fran\u00e7ois<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Under Fran\u00e7ois\u2019s leadership, PRGN has grown and adapted with a strong focus on AI and digital tools and sharing insights about fake news and misinformation. Since October 2025, Fran\u00e7ois has initiated three internal task forces, strengthening member agencies\u2019 preparedness in AI and digital services and fighting misinformation. Five new practice groups have been launched to support member agencies active in aviation, healthcare, public affairs, technology and tourism to promote their expertise and better represent themselves in international new business opportunities. PRGN has created a new region comprised of members in Latin and South America, where its membership base continues to expand.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Under Fran\u00e7ois\u2019s presidency, six new agencies have joined PRGN as members.<\/p>\n<p>PRGN\u2019s twice-yearly conferences are key times for members to set strategy, develop services, and share best practices. The New York conference was attended by more than 80 delegates representing 45 member agencies.
