Nairobi, Kenya — The Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), one of the world’s top public relations networks bringing together independent agencies from around the world, begins its October 2025 Member Meeting and Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, on Oct. 22. This occasion marks the second time in PRGN’s 30-plus-year history that a member gathering is held on the African continent – following Cape Town, South Africa, in 2012. The conference is hosted by Newmark Group, PRGN’s member agency in Kenya with a footprint spanning the African continent and hub offices in several key countries including Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Burundi, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt and Côte D’Ivoire. PRGN’s member conference in Nairobi gathers PR agency owners and leaders from the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, who meet in person to discuss industry trends, service innovation and agency strategies.
The global public relations industry is on track to reach a market value of $131.2 billion by 2032, largely driven by increasing demand for strategic communication. Particularly, the African continent is experiencing significant growth in the PR sector, with a 6% annual spending on strategic communications. In Kenya, the PR industry alone generates nearly 400 billion Kenyan shillings (USD$3 billion) annually, largely fueled by the private sector. These figures highlight the critical need for the African PR industry to evolve and adapt to stay competitive globally. The October 2025 PRGN Member Meeting and Conference in Nairobi serves as a forum for addressing emerging trends in the communications sector and promoting collaboration and innovation among industry leaders.

“We are excited to bring back the PRGN Member Meeting and Conference to Africa, specifically to Nairobi, Kenya, a city that embodies tradition and modernity. The selection of Nairobi as the host city shows its major role in the global communications industry and offers members an opportunity to experience the region’s culture and business,” said PRGN President Natacha Clarac.
PRGN selects its conference locations on a rotational basis across continents, and hosting the event in Nairobi highlights the city’s growing influence in shaping the future of public relations. As the host agency, Newmark Group, a Pan-African strategic communications and brand positioning firm, will play an essential role in organizing the event and delivering a world-class conference that reflects the city’s growing stature as a global communications and tourism destination.

“We are honored to host the October 2025 PRGN Member Meeting and Conference in Nairobi. This event will showcase Nairobi’s potential as a dynamic communications hub and offer an invaluable platform for PR professionals to explore emerging trends and opportunities within our industry. With our extensive experience serving clients across 32 countries globally, we are committed to leveraging our expertise to ensure the conference’s success,” said Gilbert Manirakiza, Co-founder and CEO of Newmark Group.
In line with its dedication to advancing strategic communications globally, PRGN has joined forces with Newmark Group and recently launched the Global Expert Panel for tourism and travel. This initiative brings together top communications and marketing professionals from around the globe to support African tourism and destination management organizations. The upcoming PRGN member meeting in Nairobi will strengthen the bond among the agencies and professionals involved by offering a platform for dialogue and innovation in communications to support various industries, including tourism.
The October 2025 PRGN Member Meeting and Conference in Nairobi is a key event for PRGN-affiliated agencies also because it hosts the PRGN Awards Gala, where winners of PRGN’s annual best practice awards are announced. This year the global contest attracted 160 entries from 28 agencies.
